***Day 2 Workshop Time***
To do list of Starting the Whole Project:
During the Day 12 of Module lesson, the lecturer gave us a few instruction on how we create a project by using the four things to do:
-

My First Virtual Immersive Idea: [Description]
My idea on making a Virtual Immersive video will be a first person, a Camper, who watches the sunset outside of their tent in the deserted and peaceful island, only to find a small robot that floats away to the tall boulder, where they can look at the rescue boat.
Simple Story Followed List of Virtual Immersive:
At the tent outside, the User checked their current situation, their vision watches from the:
- The Sunset, above the Sea
- Mountains with Sedimentary Rocks
- The cooking Hotpot as they open the lid, only to find boiling water inside
- Watching the boiling water and closing the lid
- Eyes on the Small rock, something hides behind.
- Went Closer, only to find a Little Robot
- The Little Robot floats to the small cave
- Going inside the cave, walking at the top,
- Finds the Robot again but turns around, only to find a wonderful view
- Wonderful view that gazes upon the Sunset, above the rescue boat on the sea
Name for the Robot Character:
Creating a 3D Character Mascot needs a Name and their role must be important. At first, I was naming it [Maroon] because of the colour, but I realized this character is actually a very small robot that is afraid of outsiders. So, I researched some names of a robot by using the Name Generator.

Robot Character Colour Palette Reference Image
- Eventually, I decided to call it, "Sona", meaning Gold. The reason is because both the cheek side of their face are made up of Gold. Plus, this name is kinda suitable for a small robot.
- To design a simple colour for the character, I decided to to make a low saturated version between blue and red, symbolising the lost flag in the isolated area. Their skin should be metallic and shiny as a hard material.
Alternative Ideas:
Most of the alternative ideas won't change the fact that I will use the robot character as a mascot figure to guide the audience and, to immerse them in the first person virtual video.
- My first alternative idea was simple. It was supposed to be a Desert scenery, where all the sands, tall mountains and endless sky can be seen around the world. Those objects can be found in Quixel Bridge and putting them in Unreal was the fastest thing to do.

Alternative Environment Sketch Design
- My second alternative idea is very challenging, using the greeny forest theme and showing the tall mountains, vines, and clean areas to make the audience immerse the simulated environment. However, the unique things will be showing the broken robots and their remaining mechanical parts that are lying in the forest. Those metal figures should be displayed above grass and their textures should covered by moss.
- The sketch above is one of the examples to show the fantasy forest and the history of the robot remainings, along with a lone small and survivor robot who stands near their broken kin.
