Gameplay Process Project Journal #2
”Creating the Game Design Ideas”
Planning, Reference Moodboard and Sketch Examples:
- My First Game Idea planning is to create a game about a small restaurant in a middle of nowhere and two workers proceed to serve fresh and hot soup for the workers. A narrative story will take place when a character shows their goal to get a carriage ride by having a charity and restaurant for poor people in their ruined village.
- As for the gameplay, I wanted Players to use the Waiter character to move with key buttons(W, A, S, D) and use left click mouse to interact with customers and guide them to their available seats. It’s how I planned to make the game unique even though I’m not good at coding.
- To design this game idea, I used the Moodboard reference that are found in Pinterest and draw the simple ones that are necessary to fit the image. Some reference can be based on the game genre and games that they’re inspired. Here are the results down below:

Process of Designing the Image for the Game Idea:
- After sketching, I started to use the Adobe Photoshop to outline and colour them. The characters should be clear and simple while the control method image should be displayed in the image.
- The process for creating a Game Title took an hour because, making a title must be based on their story and they should be interested. I tried the term, “Ruana’s Charity” but, I decided to hold it before I finalise them.

The final game idea for the upcoming presentation has only required Image and a text with less than sixty words.

Final Game Design Ideas for the Presentation Image (Charity Rush Game Idea)
As for the final title of this game, I decided to name it, “Charity Rush”, because the Main character and their worker were doing their charity to help the poor from being starved and homeless for seventeen days.
